Essential Functions
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
- Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages food and beverage staff in order to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established department objectives.
- Develops, implements, and monitors department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department.
- Maintains cleanliness of the back of the house areas, which include: main kitchen, storage areas, dumpster, loading dock, TDR, and washing areas. Manage general cleaning schedule so that the food service areas meet or exceed the health inspection requirements.
- Affords assistance in the maintenance of the inventory and coordination of the distribution of all big four items: china, glassware, linens and silver which also includes visual inspection to ensure cleanliness and safe transportation.
- Controls equipment storage areas and the issuance of equipment for the Food & Beverage Department.
- Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
- Performs work regularly and predictably.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
Non-Essential Functions
- Attend seminars when needed.
Education And /Or Experience Requirements
- This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of three years’ experience as a Steward. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
- (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc): Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
