Working Title: Supervising Program Technician II

Salary: $4,375.00 - $5,482.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Location: 2555 S Elm Ave, Fresno, CA, 93706

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of a large unit of Program Technician (PT), PT II, and clerical/office support staff whose duties include providing general assistance to customers who contact the Field Offices for assistance.
  • Evaluate staff performance by providing timely feedback.
  • Act as a coach, mentor, and/or role model in support of the Department and Branch’s vision, mission, values, and goals.

Requirements

  • Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your CalCareer Account.
  • All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position.

  • Degree and/or school transcripts (optional and may be required to meet minimum qualifications).
  • A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required.

Who May Apply

Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority). Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered.

Schedule

  • Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Work Week: Monday-Friday
