About the role
Providing guidance, supervision, and compassionate support to residents in a substance use treatment facility during the 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support residents, fostering a safe, structured, recovery-focused environment.
- Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Observe, document, and report on resident behaviors, progress, and activities.
- Assist residents in achieving treatment goals and respond to emergencies and crises.
- Administer medications, collect urine specimens, and conduct breathalyzer tests.
- Support daily activities like meal prep, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.
- Facilitate educational and life skills groups, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background, caregiver, and medical clearances.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in substance use, behavioral health, or related fields.
- College coursework in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services.
- Training in Fire Safety, First Aid, Medication Administration, or willingness to complete after hire.
Work Environment
Based in a residential setting requiring physical activity including standing, walking, and outdoor supervision. Local travel may be necessary to support residents and program operations.
