About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. With over 30 years of experience, they provide outpatient treatment centers specializing in Opioid Use Disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
  • Work with a collaborative treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
  • Identify and meet the clinical needs of patients and assist in their overall well-being
  • Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
  • Document patient progress through counseling and interactions with groups
  • Create and implement individual and group treatment plans
  • Provide education on treatment, health issues, and steps to recovery
  • Perform at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week
  • Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification
  • Achieve all tasks while acting in the best interests of the program and company

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services or related field
  • Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred, but not required
