About the role
New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. With over 30 years of experience, they provide outpatient treatment centers specializing in Opioid Use Disorder.
Responsibilities
- Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
- Work with a collaborative treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
- Identify and meet the clinical needs of patients and assist in their overall well-being
- Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
- Document patient progress through counseling and interactions with groups
- Create and implement individual and group treatment plans
- Provide education on treatment, health issues, and steps to recovery
- Perform at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week
- Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification
- Achieve all tasks while acting in the best interests of the program and company
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services or related field
- Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred, but not required
