About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join its collaborative treatment team. The role involves engaging with patients through individual, group, and family counseling, working with a multidisciplinary team, and assisting in the overall well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients during intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
  • Create and update individual and group treatment plans within required timelines.
  • Identify and address clinical and case management needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions as needed.
  • Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
  • Conduct Urine Drug Screen tests and verify patient identification.
  • Achieve at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week.
  • Act in the best interests of the program and company, respecting proprietary data and rights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field.
  • Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required.
