About the role
New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join its collaborative treatment team. The role involves engaging with patients through individual, group, and family counseling, working with a multidisciplinary team, and assisting in the overall well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Engage with patients during intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
- Create and update individual and group treatment plans within required timelines.
- Identify and address clinical and case management needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions as needed.
- Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
- Conduct Urine Drug Screen tests and verify patient identification.
- Achieve at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week.
- Act in the best interests of the program and company, respecting proprietary data and rights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field.
- Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required.
