About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join its collaborative treatment team. The role involves engaging with patients through individual, group, and family counseling, working with a multidisciplinary team to meet clinical needs, and providing comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients for intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
• Create and update individual and group treatment plans.
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
• Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Administer Urine Drug Screens and verify patient identification.
• Act in the best interests of the program and company, respecting proprietary data and rights.

Requirements

• Education/Licensure/Certification: Refer to state-specific requirements.
• Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and treatment methods.
• Compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality protocols.
