About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join its team. Founded in 1990, New Season specializes in treating Opioid Use Disorder and provides comprehensive outpatient treatment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
• Work collaboratively with a treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
• Identify and address clinical/case management needs
• Complete patient psychosocial and individualized treatment plans
• Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions
• Provide educational guidance on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps
• Perform at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week
• Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient identification
• Achieve proprietary data protection and uphold company standards

Qualifications

• Education/Licensure/Certification: Refer to state-specific requirements
• Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required
