About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. Founded over 30 years ago, they provide outpatient treatment centers specializing in Opioid Use Disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
  • Work with a collaborative treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
  • Identify and meet the clinical needs of patients and assist in their overall well-being
  • Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
  • Document patient progress through counseling and interactions with groups
  • Create and update individualized treatment plans within required time frames
  • Address identified clinical/case management needs
  • Perform at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual and/or group counseling sessions
  • Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps
  • Collect Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification
  • Act in the best interests of the program and company, protecting proprietary data and rights

Qualifications

  • Education/Licensure/Certification: Refer to state-specific requirements
  • Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required
