Substance Abuse Counselor (Bachelors Level)

About the role

New Season offers exciting benefits and is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. With over 30 years of experience, New Season specializes in providing outpatient treatment centers for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling
• Work collaboratively with a treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses
• Identify and meet clinical needs of patients and assist in their overall well-being
• Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork
• Document patient progress through counseling and interactions with groups
• Create and implement individual and group treatment plans
• Provide education on treatment, health issues, and steps to recovery
• Conduct urine drug screens and obtain patient photo identification
• Act in the best interests of the program and company, protecting proprietary data and rights

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Related Field (Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, etc)
• Experience in substance abuse field preferred, but not required
