Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective implementation of processes such as ordering, stocking, merchandising, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Provide training, conduct performance reviews, and address gaps through counseling or disciplinary actions.
• Make recommendations on employee pay and advancement.
• Communicate expectations on performance, conduct, and safety; organize meetings to promote safety and policy adherence.
• Oversee store opening and closing, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Analyze operating statements to identify sales trends, expense control opportunities, and inventory issues.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and merchandising presentation following company standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, control damages, markdowns, and cash handling procedures.
• Lead customer service efforts, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and ensure store tools and equipment are available.
• Adhere to company policies, complete required documentation, and ensure staff compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and manage cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety policies.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in retail management preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, occasional climbing, and driving. Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise and occasional weather exposure.
