Store Manager - Full Time

Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure efficient store performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and adherence to employment laws.
• Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and make recommendations for employee pay and advancement.
• Open and close the store as needed, oversee daily operations, and ensure a safe, organized environment.
• Analyze operating statements to identify trends, control expenses, and optimize profitability.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and merchandising to meet or exceed stock targets.
• Maintain accurate inventory controls and ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards.
• Enforce cash handling, security, and safety policies, ensuring financial integrity and secure store environment.
• Lead customer service initiatives, ensuring high-quality shopping experiences.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and complete all required documentation accurately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures; perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and customer service.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, counseling, and terminating staff, with understanding of legal compliance.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is advantageous.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently, with occasional lifts up to 55 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing.
