Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandise presentation, and customer service to ensure efficient store performance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Lead store opening and closing procedures, including personally opening and closing the store multiple times weekly.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and expenses to identify business trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, stocking, and merchandise presentation according to company standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, control damages and markdowns, and ensure cash handling and security procedures are followed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster a safe, clean, and organized shopping environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and proper documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience in recruiting, training, and managing staff, with knowledge of legal compliance.
• Physical ability to perform duties involving frequent walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional ladder use.

Preferred Background: High school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is advantageous. Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.
