Store Manager Candidate - Full Time

About the Role

This role supports store operations by assisting with staffing, merchandising, inventory management, customer service, and store maintenance. It prepares individuals for future Store Manager positions by providing hands-on experience in daily store functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training team members.
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and presentation of products.
• Support inventory control, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure proper ordering to meet stock levels and optimize sales.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a store role model.
• Contribute to store opening and closing activities, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment.
• Monitor sales, expenses, and inventory trends to identify opportunities.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in varied situations.
• Preferred bilingual proficiency in Spanish at some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience is a plus.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
• Limited travel with some overnight stays.
