Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, acting as a temporary leader in the store's day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and store presentation.
• Manage inventory through ordering, damages, markdowns, and inventory counts.
• Ensure in-stock levels meet targets and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow company policies, handle store opening/closing, and secure funds.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and a secure environment.
• Operate the store in the manager’s absence and analyze sales, expenses, and inventory data.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

Ability to interpret safety and operating instructions and perform basic math. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, merchandising, and security procedures. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Problem-solving ability and adaptability to diverse situations. Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish; high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience.

Physical & Working Conditions: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to weather conditions. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise; some travel required.
