About the role

Role Overview: The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandise presentation, and customer service. This role involves implementing store processes, participating in hiring, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Support merchandising efforts, stocking, and store presentation.
• Manage inventory, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, cashier accountability, and security procedures.
• Participate in store opening and closing, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Analyze sales and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete required documentation and follow company policies.
• Operate store functions in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform math calculations, and learn cash register functions.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and safety policies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: High school diploma and retail experience; bilingual skills may be advantageous.

Physical & Work Conditions: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds; occasional climbing and driving; fast-paced environment with moderate noise; exposure to outside weather; some travel required.
