Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview: The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a developmental step towards becoming a Store Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training staff.Participate in merchandising, stocking, and presentation of products according to company standards.Manage inventory processes, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.Support in store opening and closing activities, ensuring security and cash handling integrity.Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.Review sales and expense reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and federal labor laws. Qualifications & Skills Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.Ability to learn POS systems and report generation.Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience is advantageous.Bi-lingual skills may be preferred at some locations. Physical & Work Environment: The role involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. It requires operating equipment, occasional ladder use, and some travel, often in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise and exposure to outside weather conditions.
