Store Manager Candidate

About the role

Seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist in implementing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role supports the development of external candidates for the Store Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in merchandise staging, stocking, and presentation.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure proper ordering to meet in‑stock targets.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a store role model.
• Contribute to store opening/closing, cash handling, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and operate store functions in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to identify trends and control expenses.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory practices, and safety policies.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Preferred experience in retail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bilingual skills may be advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of equipment such as scanners, carts, and ladders.
• Fast‑paced environment with occasional exposure to outside weather and travel.
