Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves assisting with recruiting, participating in store setup, ensuring merchandise presentation, managing inventory, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in staffing, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies.
• Participate in opening and closing store activities.
• Ensure financial integrity through cash handling and security measures.
• Monitor store performance via operational reports and manage expenses.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and problem‑solving abilities.
• Preferred bilingual skills (Spanish).

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience or familiarity with store operations is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 40–55 pounds, and occasional climbing or driving. The environment is fast‑paced with moderate noise, and some outdoor exposure may occur. The role may require travel with limited overnight stays.
