Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information for all nursing department employees
- Monitor and document attendance, tardiness, call-offs, and absences
- Communicate attendance and scheduling concerns to the Director of Nursing according to facility policies
- Cook up modified-duty assignments with Human Resources and nursing leadership
- Aid employees with scheduling requests, timecards, PTO requests, and related documentation
- Develop, maintain, and post monthly nursing schedules based on census and staffing needs
- Respond to scheduling inquiries and assist with shift coverage coordination
- Prepare schedules and required materials for new hires prior to orientation
- Maintain records of employee licenses, certifications, and required credentials
- Adjust staffing levels based on census changes while helping control overtime expenses
- Process nursing department payroll and coordinate agency staffing coverage when needed
- Provide Unit Secretary coverage as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Staffing Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Knowledge of PPD and AHCA staffing requirements preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling systems, payroll processes, and Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
