Staffing Coordinator

About the Role

As a Staffing Coordinator, you will optimize staffing levels across departments to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. You will schedule personnel, process staffing requests, manage call-outs, and communicate effectively with staff and management regarding assignments and availability. Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, and excellent communication are crucial for maintaining optimal workforce deployment and service continuity.

You will adhere to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and improvement programs, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, and the Patient's Bill of Rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide adequate staffing of nursing personnel for all shifts based on pre-established schedules, staffing guidelines, and direction from the Department Director or designee.
• Coordinate staffing requirements for each unit based on immediate changes due to replacement staff needs, patient acuity, and census under the direction of the Department Director or designee.
• Demonstrate an understanding of organizational structure and utilize appropriate channels of communication.
• Requisition supplies and equipment, maintenance and repair services, and prepare related forms. Maintain stock and equipment at predetermined PAR levels.
• Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent (General Studies).
• Previous staffing office experience upon hire.
• Fire Safety certification within 90 days of hire.

Pay

$25.25 - $35.67 per hour.
