About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse – Specialty Office provides general nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers within medical practices. They assist and advocate for patient health, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather patient data and record findings
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Support self-care and management plans
- Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures under the supervision of licensed providers
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Ensure compliance with state nursing laws and standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Graduation from a practical nursing program
- Current NYS licensure
- Basic Life Support certification within six weeks of hire
