About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse – Specialty Office provides general nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers in a medical practice setting. They assist and advocate for patient health, collaborating with physicians, registered nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform supportive care tasks such as gathering patient data, recording findings, preparing patients for examinations and treatments, and assisting providers during procedures
• Support self-care initiatives and adhere to safety protocols
• Maintain equipment
• Participate in quality improvement activities
• Maintain a safe environment
• Engage in ongoing education to ensure quality patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from a practical nursing program
• Current NYS licensure
• Basic Life Support certification within six weeks of hire
