About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse – Specialty Office provides general nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers within medical practice settings. They assist and advocate for patient health, collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and multidisciplinary team members, and perform tasks related to case finding, health coaching, and supportive care.
Responsibilities
- Gather patient data and prepare patients for examinations
- Support specialty providers during procedures
- Support self-care and management plans
- Maintain equipment and a safe environment
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing education
Qualifications
- Graduation from a practical nursing program
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state
- Basic Life Support certification
