About the Role
This position involves setting up and operating machinery to prepare particle core for Lay Up processes. The Router Operator must safely and efficiently interpret schedules and handle materials associated with the department.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery including Jump Saw, Table Saw, and Band Chopper while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain at least 100% efficiency with high accuracy, producing 51 doors per 15 minutes (1,100 doors per 8-hour shift).
- Read and maintain accurate tape measurements to 1/32” and verify weekly.
- Interpret product codes, batch tickets, and production schedules.
- Identify size and type of materials used in the assembly process.
- Ensure doors are built with proper materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area, including daily cleaning of glue spreaders, x-lifts, and pits.
- Report mechanical issues to supervisor or maintenance.
- Work as a team player with minimal supervision and perform additional tasks as assigned by the group manager.
Requirements
- Wear required PPE: safety glasses and ear plugs.
- Follow all OSHA safety training and departmental safety rules.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
