Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive (Specialty)
About the role
The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive (Specialty) plays a crucial role in CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand that offers Primary Care, Home Health, and Pharmacy services. This position focuses on influencing key decision-makers to route specialty drug prescriptions to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy for fulfillment, thereby increasing prescriptions and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Use targeted geographic analysis to engage with physician offices and influence key decision-makers.
- Build relationships with front and back-office staff by conducting sales calls within the territory.
- Provide staff education and information on options for patient use of specialty pharmacy medications.
- Become a knowledgeable resource regarding specialty pharmacy medications and Humana pharmacy benefits.
- Manage a sales territory that includes CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand offering Primary Care, Home Health, and Pharmacy services.
Requirements
- Reside in or be within commuting distance of Northern Illinois, through Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and up to Green Bay, Wisconsin, or be willing to relocate at one’s own expense.
- Previous sales experience with documented success of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Experience analyzing sales data and market trends to make effective decisions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a collaborative, team-oriented approach in dynamic environments.
- Proven ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships across partnering business segments to support organizational goals.
- Must be comfortable with being in the field 5 days/week within territory lines, and occasional overnight travel.
- Part of Humana's Fleet Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to take possession of a company fleet vehicle and have a valid state driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tool.
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience in sales and marketing.
- Specialty Pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.

Pay and Schedule
The compensation range for this role is $84,700 - $115,500 per year, with the possibility of a commission incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance. This role is eligible for the Humana Fleet Driver safety program, requiring an individual to take possession of a company fleet vehicle and have a valid state driver's license.
Schedule
This role is a field position where employees perform their core duties at non-company locations, such as providing services at business partner facilities or prospects' and members' homes. Typical workdays and hours are Monday – Friday, Central Standard Time (CST). Occasional overnight travel may be required, and employees living in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota may receive a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Travel Required: Up to 50%, 5 days/week within an assigned territory line, with occasional overnight travel.
Driving Record: Evaluated as part of a third-party background check.
Internet Statement: Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job. Employees working from Home must ensure their dedicated space lacks ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
