Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive (Specialty)
About the role
The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive (Specialty) plays a crucial role in influencing key decision makers to route specialty drug prescriptions to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy. This role involves building relationships with front and back-office staff, providing education on specialty pharmacy medications, and managing a sales territory that includes CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand offering Primary Care, Home Health, and Pharmacy services.
Responsibilities
- Engage with physician offices to route specialty drug prescriptions to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy.
- Increase orders to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy to boost prescriptions and revenue.
- Manage a sales territory that includes CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand.
- Build relationships with front and back-office staff through sales calls.
- Provide staff education on options for patient use of specialty pharmacy medications.
- Become a knowledgeable resource regarding specialty pharmacy medications and Humana pharmacy benefits.
Requirements
- Previous sales experience with documented success of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Experience analyzing sales data and market trends to make effective decisions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a collaborative, team-oriented approach in dynamic environments.
- Prominent ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships across partnering business segments to support organizational goals.
- Comfortable with being in the field 5 days/week within territory lines, and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications
- Reside in or be within commuting distance of Northern Illinois, through Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and up to Green Bay, Wisconsin, or be willing to relocate to the area at their own expense.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay
$84,700 - $115,500 per year. This role is eligible for a commission incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
Schedule
This role is a field position where employees perform their core duties at non-company locations, such as providing services at business partner facilities or prospects' and members' homes. The typical workday is Monday through Friday, Central Standard Time (CST).
Additional Information
Workstyle: Field
Travel Required: Up to 50%, 5 days/week within an assigned territory line, with occasional overnight travel.
Driving Record: Evaluated as part of a third-party background check.
Internet Statement: Employees living and working from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
