Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive (Specialty)
About the role
The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive (Specialty) plays a crucial role in increasing orders to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy, a Humana-owned brand that offers primary care, home health, and pharmacy services. This position involves building relationships with front and back-office staff, educating them on specialty pharmacy medications, and becoming a knowledgeable resource regarding Humana pharmacy benefits.
Responsibilities
- Use targeted geographic analysis to engage with physician offices and influence key decision-makers to route specialty drug prescriptions to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy for fulfillment.
- Increase orders to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenue.
- Manage a sales territory that includes CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand offering primary care, home health, and pharmacy services.
- Conduct sales calls within the territory and provide staff education on patient use of specialty pharmacy medications.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across partnering business segments to support organizational goals.
- Perform work without direct supervision, making decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components.
Requirements
- Reside in or be within commuting distance of Northern Illinois, through Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and up to Green Bay, Wisconsin, or be willing to relocate to the area at one’s own expense.
- Previous sales experience with documented success of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Experience analyzing sales data and market trends to make effective decisions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a collaborative, team-oriented approach in dynamic environments.
- Proven ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships across partnering business segments to support organizational goals.
- Comfortable with being in the field 5 days/week within territory lines, and occasional overnight travel.

Pay
The compensation range for this role is $84,700 - $115,500 per year, with the possibility of a commission incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
Schedule
This role is part of Humana's Fleet Driver safety program and requires an individual to take possession of a company fleet vehicle and have a valid state driver's license. The typical workday is Monday through Friday, Central Standard Time (CST).
Additional Information
Workstyle: Field
Travel Required: Up to 50%, 5 days/week within an assigned territory line, with occasional overnight travel.
Driving Record: We will evaluate your driving record as part of a third-party background check and certain types or combinations of infractions may affect your eligibility for this position.
Typical Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday; Central Standard Time (CST).
