About the Role

This individual will focus on sourcing, recruiting, and hiring skilled field employees (electricians, apprentices, and other construction professionals). The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, understands the construction/electrical workforce, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for field positions including electricians, apprentices, and skilled labor.
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, community outreach, trade schools, and industry networks.
  • Conduct candidate screenings, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions with hiring managers.
  • Build strong relationships with field employees, hiring managers, and key stakeholders to understand staffing needs.
  • Attend job fairs, community events, and workforce programs to promote career opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future needs.
  • Partner with HR to support onboarding, new hire orientations, and workforce integration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations during recruitment processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and provide hiring reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in the construction, electrical, or skilled trades industry OR hands-on electrical experience with an interest in pivoting to a recruiter role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and previous ATS experience.
  • Must be bilingual—fluent in English and Spanish (both oral and written).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Operates in a clerical office setting with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Requires mobility within an office environment and regular communication (written and oral), including telephone use.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May require walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must possess good hearing, normal or corrected.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, with overtime as required, including nights or weekends as needed.
