Security Officer Full Time Patrol Visitor Check In

The position is a Full‑Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a government airport location in Columbus, OH, serving and safeguarding clients in various industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, roadways, and other assigned locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and assist with directing visitors and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities, maintaining professional communication with airport stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.

Pay

$20.08 per hour.

Schedule

• Thursday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
• Friday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM
• Sunday: 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM
