About the Role

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a government location serving veterans in Montrose, NY, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and provide clear, courteous communication. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel at a government front desk by following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor entry activity, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and appointments as required, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Assist with access control by issuing and collecting visitor credentials, monitoring restricted-entry points, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Complete required logs, reports, and administrative documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the front desk.

Requirements

• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• New York State Security Guard License.
• 21+ years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.12 - $23.12 per hour.

Schedule

• Full Time, Daytime
• Monday – Friday: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
