About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Access Operations in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and respond to access-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $15.63 / Hour
Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and associates by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution center, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
- Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and commercial vehicles in accordance with established site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
