Security Officer Full Time Access Control Operations

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Kansas City, MO, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and support a welcoming, secure environment for team members, visitors, and deliveries. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitor credentials, issue and collect access badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access logs.
• Control entry and exit of employees, contractors, drivers, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
