Security Officer Full Time Access Administration

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Riverview, FL, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting site operations through reliable access-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, screening authorized visitors, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, perimeter locations, and designated restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Report suspicious activity, access-control concerns, equipment issues, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
