Security Officer Full Time Access Management

About the role

As a Full Time Access Management Security Officer in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will manage site entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Your visible presence, clear communication, and customer-focused approach will help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and communicate entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; report observations and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Coordinate with site personnel and transportation operations regarding access needs, deliveries, and restricted-area activity while following established site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
