Security Officer Full Time Access Management

About the role

As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location in Honolulu, HI, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Observe loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, vehicle gates, and perimeter access points for unusual activity and report concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
