Security and Emergency Services Manager
Description of Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall management of the Security Department and Fire Department with particular focus on resourcing – hiring, vehicles, and equipment.
- Controls budget and monitors expenses for Security & Fire Departments.
- Develops and implements Security and Fire Departments policies, protocols and procedures.
- Develops and maintains Koa Lani interdepartmental plans with emphasis on Antiterrorism, Physical Security, and Emergency Management plans.
- Serves as the senior Koa Lani representative to the PMRF Emergency Operations Center during real events, training exercises, and evaluating activations.
- Serves as the Koa Lani Trusted Agent for all Common Access Card transactions, which entails continual communications with the PMRF Administration Office.
- Oversees annual Antiterrorism and Active Shooter training for all Koa Lani employees.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years minimum of directly related experience in Crash Fire, Environmental, Safety and Health, and/or Security related services, 4 years of which must be at an equivalent level and must include the management of 25 or more personnel in an Industrial or Protective Security, Fire Services, and/or Environmental Health and Safety.
- Must have training in Information Assurance.
Qualifications
Required Degree/Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Science, Business Management, or related field is required.
Required Skills and Experience: A master’s degree in a related field is desirable.

Schedule
Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 50 pounds (with a 2-person assist).
Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and crawling, kneeling or cramped work, requiring repeated stooping and repeated or request climbing.
The office laboratory environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, in a confined work area, field assignments.
