About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will teach cooking classes to customers at Sur La Table stores. This role is part-time and on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes focusing on pastry techniques and recipes
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and support
  • Ensure all classes adhere to safety protocols and food handling guidelines
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized teaching space

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional culinary experience
  • Experience teaching cooking classes to diverse audiences
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques and baking
