About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will teach cooking classes to customers at Sur La Table stores. This role is part-time and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes focusing on pastry techniques and recipes
- Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and support
- Ensure all classes adhere to safety protocols and food handling guidelines
- Prepare and maintain a clean and organized teaching space
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional culinary experience
- Experience teaching cooking classes to diverse audiences
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of pastry techniques and baking
