About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes focused on pastry techniques and skills to customers at Sur La Table stores.

Responsibilities

  • Teach hands-on cooking classes in pastry techniques and skills to customers
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans and materials
  • Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and support

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in culinary arts or related field
  • Valid Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
