About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes focused on pastry techniques and skills to customers at Sur La Table stores.
Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on cooking classes in pastry techniques and skills to customers
- Develop and maintain lesson plans and materials
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and support
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in culinary arts or related field
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
