About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes and workshops to customers at Sur La Table stores. This role is part-time and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes and workshops focusing on pastry techniques and recipes
- Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and feedback
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed
- Help maintain the store’s inventory and display items
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a culinary or teaching environment
- Proficiency in pastry techniques and baking
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Education in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for sharing knowledge and engaging with customers
