About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes and workshops to customers at Sur La Table stores. This role is part-time and on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes and workshops focusing on pastry techniques and recipes
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and feedback
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed
  • Help maintain the store’s inventory and display items

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a culinary or teaching environment
  • Proficiency in pastry techniques and baking
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

  • Education in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
