About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers at Sur La Table stores in Albany, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes focused on pastry techniques and recipes
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and feedback
  • Ensure all classes are conducted in a safe and hygienic environment
  • Adapt class content based on customer feedback and preferences

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional pastry chef experience
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Education in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Experience with pastry equipment and ingredients
  • Knowledge of food safety practices
