About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers at Sur La Table stores in Albany, NY.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes focused on pastry techniques and recipes
- Engage with customers to provide personalized guidance and feedback
- Ensure all classes are conducted in a safe and hygienic environment
- Adapt class content based on customer feedback and preferences
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional pastry chef experience
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Education in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Experience with pastry equipment and ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety practices
