About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes focused on pastry techniques and skills to customers at Sur La Table stores.
Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on cooking classes focusing on pastry techniques and skills
- Engage and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensure all classes are conducted safely and hygienically
- Adapt classes to meet the needs and skill levels of different groups of customers
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a culinary setting
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Pass a background check

- Proficiency in pastry preparation and baking
