About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching pastry classes to customers at Sur La Table stores. This is a part-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Teach pastry classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner
- Prepare and present class materials and demonstrations
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met during classes
- Engage with customers to provide additional support and answer questions
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional pastry experience
- Experience teaching or leading pastry classes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Education in culinary arts, baking, or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
