About the role

The San Diego office of Fisher Phillips seeks an employment litigation associate with four to seven years of experience, including substantial prevailing wage experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advising companies and handling California public works and federal (Davis-Bacon) prevailing wage matters
  • Defending enforcement actions and individual claims before the DIR and DLSE
  • Defending enforcement actions and individual claims in state and federal courts
  • Advising clients
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests and initial pleadings
  • Drafting and arguing motions
  • Taking and defending depositions

Requirements

  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Admission to the California Bar
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Pay

The yearly salary range for this position is $230,000 – $270,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
