Responsibilities
- Advises companies on California public works and federal prevailing wage compliance
- Defends enforcement actions and individual claims before the DIR and DLSE, and litigates in state and federal courts
- Manages all phases of litigation
- Counsels clients on policies, handbooks, training, and day-to-day employment law issues related to public works
- Collaborates with partners across matters in a free-market assignment model
- Mets annual billables
Requirements
- 4 - 7 years of employment litigation experience including substantial prevailing wage experience
- Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
- Proven track record handling administrative proceedings and wage litigation
- Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Proactive, self-directed attorney who works well independently and as part of a team
