About the role
The Sales Lead (SL) role at Paper Source Santa Monica is a part-time position designed to create memorable shopping experiences, execute visual merchandising and replenishment standards, and actively sell and engage with customers. The SL also mentors and supports the development of customer service associates (CSAs).
Responsibilities
- Create memorable shopping experiences by providing consistent, friendly, and informed service.
- Ensure a vibrant store through flawless execution of Visual Merchandising & Replenishment standards.
- Leverage key campaigns and services to actively sell and engage with customers.
- Develop employees by sharing knowledge and supporting their understanding of different store areas.
- Direct work with timely management of receiving, returns, and other daily processes, ensuring efficiency and minimizing shrink and expenses.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations and communicate these to the team and pod.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team, giving honest and respectful feedback when necessary.
- Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments, meeting the store's performance targets.
- Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during assigned MOD periods.
- Open and close the building, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
- Comply with company standards regarding safety, customer experience, and all store operations, including asset protection.
- Work on the selling floor, requiring physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a solid operational knowledge to run the store, proven experience in training employees, and solid decision-making skills. They should also have proven abilities to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
Qualifications
Candidates should understand and deliver excellent standards of service, continue to grow knowledge of product/market and cultural trends, and be curious about the industry, supporting results through observation and development of the store team.
Skills
Effective communication, collaboration, delegation, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential skills for this role.
