About the role
The Sales Lead (SL) role at Paper Source is designed to inspire and engage customers while leading a dynamic team. You'll be responsible for creating memorable shopping experiences, managing visual merchandising, and supporting the growth of your team.
Responsibilities
- Create memorable shopping experiences by providing exceptional service and modeling best-selling behaviors.
- Ensure a vibrant store through flawless execution of Visual Merchandising & Replenishment standards.
- Leverage key campaigns and services to actively sell and engage with customers.
- Develop employees by sharing your knowledge and supporting their understanding of the store's operations.
- Direct work with timely management of receiving, returns, and other day-to-day processes, ensuring efficiency and minimizing shrinkage and expenses.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and share insights with your team to enhance the store experience.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team, giving honest and respectful feedback when necessary.
- Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments, meeting the store's performance targets.
- Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during assigned MOD periods.
- Open and close the building, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with company standards regarding safety, customer experience, and all store operations, including asset protection.
- Work on the selling floor, requiring physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in retail or a related field.
- Proven experience in training and mentoring employees.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.

- Full-time 30+ hours per week: 36-48 hours of sick time each year based on your scheduled hours, Employee Discount, 1 week of vacation your first year and 2 years thereafter based on your scheduled hours, 1 Personal Day your first year and 2 days thereafter, 6 Company Holidays, 401(k).
