About the role

As a Sales Lead, you model great selling behaviors—you love selling our products and create an exceptional customer experience by sharing your knowledge with your team and customers. You lead the team and manage store operations to achieve sales goals, operational excellence, and a vibrant shopping environment. In this role, you mentor and support Customer Service Associates (CSAs), helping develop their expertise for success in their careers at Paper Source.

Responsibilities

• Create memorable shopping experiences by providing consistent, friendly, and informed service, ensuring customers return.
• Maintain a vibrant store through flawless execution of visual merchandising and replenishment standards, keeping the store neat, tidy, and inviting.
• Leverage key campaigns and services (e.g., new item launches, promotions, enterprise orders) to actively engage and sell to every customer.
• Develop employees by sharing your knowledge and supporting their understanding of store operations.
• Ensure efficient store operations by managing receiving, returns, and day-to-day processes while addressing shrink and expense control.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations and communicate them to your team and pod.
• Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team, providing honest and respectful feedback when appropriate.
• Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments, meeting sales and performance targets.
• Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during MOD periods.
• Open and close the store, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
• Ensure compliance with company standards for safety, customer experience, and store operations, including asset protection (controlling shrink, expense, and payroll).
• Work on the selling floor, which requires physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.
