About the role
The Sales Lead (SL) at Paper Source models great selling behaviors, loves selling products, and makes the customer experience exceptional by sharing knowledge with the team and customers. The SL supports achieving sales goals, operational excellence, and mentoring and supporting customer service associates (CSAs).
Responsibilities
- Create memorable shopping experiences where customers look forward to returning.
- Execute Visual Merchandising & Replenishment standards to maintain a vibrant store.
- Leverage key campaigns and services to actively sell and engage with customers.
- Develop employees by sharing knowledge and supporting their understanding of store areas.
- Direct work with timely management of receiving, returns, and other daily processes, understanding issues of shrink and expenses.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement in operations.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team.
- Give honest and respectful feedback to the store team when appropriate.
- Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments.
- Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during assigned MOD periods.
- Open and close the building, ensuring safety for employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with company standards regarding safety, customer experience, and all store operations, including asset protection.
- Work on the selling floor, requiring physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.
Requirements
Understand and deliver excellent standards of service, continue to grow knowledge of product/market and cultural trends, have solid operational knowledge to run the store, and have proven experience training employees. Solid decision-making skills and proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively are also required.
