About the role
As a Sales Lead (SL), you model great selling behaviors—you love selling our products and create an exceptional customer experience by sharing your knowledge with your team and customers. You lead the team and manage the store to achieve sales goals, operational efficiencies, and excellence. You mentor and support customer service associates (CSAs), helping develop their expertise for successful careers at Paper Source. You collaborate within the store to ensure the best customer experience, fostering repeat visits and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Create memorable shopping experiences through consistent, friendly, and informed service, ensuring customers return.
- Maintain a vibrant store with flawless visual merchandising and replenishment, keeping the space neat, tidy, and inviting.
- Leverage key campaigns (e.g., new item launches, promotions, enterprise orders) to actively engage and sell to every customer.
- Develop employees by sharing knowledge and supporting their understanding of store operations.
- Ensure efficient store operations by managing receiving, returns, and day-to-day processes while addressing shrink and expenses.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and communicate them to your team and leadership.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team, providing honest and respectful feedback.
- Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments to meet sales and performance targets.
- Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during MOD periods.
- Open and close the store, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for safety, customer experience, and operations, including asset protection (controlling shrink, expenses, and payroll).
- Work on the selling floor, which involves physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.
Requirements
- Ability to deliver excellent standards of service and grow product/market knowledge.
- Solid operational knowledge to run the store efficiently.
- Proven experience training employees.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and delegate effectively.
