About the role
As a Sales Lead (SL), you model great selling behaviors—you love selling our products and make the customer experience exceptional by sharing your knowledge with your team and customers. Your desire to lead the team and manage the store supports the achievement of sales goals, efficiencies, and operational excellence. You mentor and support customer service associates (CSAs), developing their expertise to be successful in their careers. You ensure the best customer experience by working collaboratively within the store, fostering repeat visits through consistent, friendly, and informed service.
Responsibilities
- Create memorable shopping experiences where customers look forward to returning due to the consistent, friendly, and informed service you provide and model for the team.
- Ensure a vibrant store through flawless execution of visual merchandising and replenishment standards, maintaining a neat, tidy, shoppable, and inviting presentation.
- Leverage key campaigns and services (e.g., new item launches, promotions, enterprise orders) to actively sell and engage in conversation with every customer.
- Develop employees by sharing your knowledge and supporting their understanding of different store areas.
- Ensure efficient execution of store operations by managing receiving, returns, and other day-to-day processes while addressing shrink and expense control.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations and communicate them to your team and pod to enhance the store experience.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the store team, providing honest and respectful feedback when appropriate.
- Drive results during assigned Manager on Duty (MOD) segments, meeting sales and performance targets.
- Lead merchandising and replenishment efforts during assigned MOD periods.
- Open and close the building, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for safety, customer experience, and all store operations, including asset protection (controlling shrink, expense, and payroll).
- Work on the selling floor, which requires physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.
